To remain certified, Certified Crop Advisers must earn 40 hours of continuing education (CEUs) in a two year cycle. A minimum of 5 CEU's is required in each of the 4 categories of Nutrient Management, Soil and Water Management, Pest Management and Crop Management. In addition up to 5 CEU's can be attained the the new Professional Development category. Also required to maintain certification is payment of an annual maintenance fee.
The Kentucky CCA Board only recognizes CEU's for pre-approved meetings in the state or ASA approved CCA self-study units. CCA's must sign-in and sign-out on the official CEU roster provided by the meeting sponsor in order to receive the CEU's offered for that meeting. Any meeting approved for CEU credit will be listed in the Calendar section of this site. CCA's should always keep a record of meetings attended by recording the meetings tracking number in case of dispute.
